Infinitely Virtual, a provider of cloud servers headquartered in Encinitas, California, has announced that its Boston-based hosting facility has officially opened for business. The data center, located at 70 Innerbelt Road in Somerville, complements Infinitely Virtual’s primary data center in Los Angeles.
With an eye toward serving the expanding Infrastructure as a Server (IaaS) market in the Eastern U.S. and Western Europe, the cloud server provider from California aims to expand its services to small and midsize businesses on the East Coast and beyond.
VMware cloud platform
“We’ve made it our mission to showcase the powerful economic rationale for small and midsize companies to get out of the business of buying and maintaining hardware that is obsolete even before it’s delivered,” said Adam Stern, Infinitely Virtual founder and CEO. “Now, businesses on the Eastern seaboard, the upper Midwest and even in places like London and Paris, can take advantage of our customer-centric approach to cloud server hosting.”
Every Infinitely Virtual cloud server is hosted in the company’s all-virtual Enterprise Virtualization Environment, featuring VMware virtual server hosting technology. The E.V.E. platform would enable the company to deliver applications to all size customers with the same level of performance.
