CloudFlare, a global CDN and DNS Provider, has raised $110M from Baidu, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Fidelity, and its existing investors. The money will be used for CloudFlare’s ‘next chapter of our growth.’
The past few years have been marked by tremendous growth for CloudFlare. The company has grown from delivering 85 billion page views per month for 500 thousand customers to nearly 1 trillion each month across 4 million Internet properties.
Founded five years ago, CloudFlare expects to double its global presence in 2016, while increasing the size of its global CDN network by an order of magnitude. This would allow millions of additional businesses and online publishers to accelerate and secure their online applications.
Beyond the additional capital raised, the broad, strategic participation in the round from these leading technology firms would validate CloudFlare’s opportunity ahead, positioning them for ‘the next chapter of growth.’
