CloudOne, a company bringing enterprise applications to the cloud and providing a platform for IoT services and solutions, has hired information security and risk management professional Timothy J. Martin as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Mr. Martin assumed the role April 11, 2016.
In his new position, Timothy J. Martin will be responsible for the development and implementation of the enterprise information security strategy and best practices at CloudOne.
Furthermore, he will oversee data center operations, including security architecture for Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), protecting against attacks, vulnerabilities and data exposure. He will also play a leading role establishing and supporting the security architecture and ensuring policy and technology exist to reduce the risk of corporate data loss.

Timothy J. Martin brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, business continuity, disaster response, risk management and control management to CloudOne. Most recently he led the enterprise risk management program at Welltower, Inc. and prior to that spent nine years at Microsoft Corporation where he was responsible for governance, risk management and compliance, as well as establishing business continuity management programs for operations and customer service and support.
Mr. Martin began his career as a technical support engineer in centralized systems – hardware and software; continuing to distributed systems, network infrastructure design and telecommunications.

Born and raised in Madras, India, Mr. Martin is a distinguished alumnus, instructor and member of the Industry Advisory Board of Purdue Polytechnic Institute in West Lafayette, Ind. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Master Business Continuity Professional and a Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM).
