CodeGuard, a global provider of cloud website backup services has announced the launch of a new product line, backup for Microsoft SQL Server.
CodeGuard‘s solution uses the same underlying Microsoft APIs that Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (Microsoft SSMS) uses, but wrapped in a service to make them more robust and more responsive to some of the diverse methods developers and hosting providers use when deploying Microsoft SQL Server.
“MSSQL customers have been requesting this for quite some time, and we are excited to finally release it,” said David Moeller, CEO of CodeGuard. “Now customers can trust our industry-leading reliability not just for their website files and MySQL databases, but also for MSSQL. Pretty nice to have it all in one place!”
A TSQL ‘script’ is generated, just like SSMS, and saved to CodeGuard’s differential and incremental storage system. Done daily, each additional backup only requires storage of the changes that occurred on that day (usually much smaller than the rest of the database).
CodeGuard was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The global cloud website backup provider is currently protecting more than 100,000 online businesses.
