Interxion, a provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data center services in Europe, has announced that customers can now access Microsoft Azure and Office 365 via ExpressRoute from its London data center campus. Interxion’s customers in London would now be able to benefit from improved security, reliability, throughput and performance when accessing Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
Connections to Microsoft ExpressRoute are delivered through Interxion’s Cloud Connect service. Cloud Connect is a cloud interconnection platform that enables customers to build and manage private links to multiple clouds through a single, secured connection delivered through real-time provisioning. The service would offer an “easy, secure and cost-effective” way for customers to build hybrid IT architectures.
TIG, a UK-based Microsoft service provider of cloud services, unified communications and infrastructure solutions, is one of the Interxion customers to adopt this service.
“Interxion’s Cloud Connect service allows us to establish secure, high performance connections to Microsoft Azure, enabling us to deliver the service levels that our customers demand,” said George Georgiou, Sales Director at TIG. “ExpressRoute capabilities present a strong selling point, as TIG is building out new services build around Azure and Office 365.”
As a provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data center services in Europe, Interxion is serving a wide range of customers through its 41 data centers in 11 European countries.
“As adoption of hybrid cloud increases so does the need for low latency, high performance and security-enhanced connections to the key cloud providers,” said Vincent in’ t Veld, Strategy and Marketing Director, Cloud Segment at Interxion. “As part of our strategic partnership with Microsoft, the addition of Azure to our London Campus represents a major milestone in our plan to provide customers with ultra-reliable access to the leading cloud platforms.”
