Colocation Company vXchnge Expands Its Carrier Marketplace With Deployment of Comcast Business Ethernet

Comcast Business has established Points-of-Presence (PoPs) within three key vXchnge data centers. vXchnge, a carrier-neutral colocation provider with presence in eight premier U.S. markets growing to 15 over the next year, will now have Comcast Business Ethernet to promote and facilitate exchanges between customers and service providers.

To accommodate the growing needs of their colocation customer base and provide a broader network, vXchnge and Comcast Business have established cross-connections in their Santa Clara, California, and Secaucus, New Jersey facilities. A third deployment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will be completed in mid-2015.

The vXchnge colocation facilities currently serve a range of businesses from small-scale start-ups to large corporations in technology, financial services and healthcare, among other industries.

For data center connectivity, Comcast Business offers a comprehensive portfolio of Ethernet options, including Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line and Ethernet Network Services that provide Internet access, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint connectivity at bandwidth that scales up to 10 Gbps.

“Our customers are always looking for high-performance connectivity solutions for their network centric applications, as well as options to extend their reach in new markets,” said Ernest Sampera, CMO and Senior Vice President at vXchnge. “This arrangement with Comcast Business is a perfect example of our role as a marketplace for our customers and their cloud and network-dependent applications. Furthermore, it highlights our commitment to ensuring our customers have access to advanced fiber-optic networks, which is a critical factor in our customers’ ability to improve their business performance.”
