Carrier-1 Data Centers, a wholesale colocation provider based in Texas, has completed its SOC 1 Type II report prepared in accordance with the AICPA’s Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16. The audit provided an examination of Carrier-1 Data Centers‘ system of internal procedures to ensure the suitability of design and operating effectiveness of applicable controls.
Completing the SOC report as well as meeting critical compliance requirements such as PCI, HIPPA, FedRAMP, FISMA and Sarbanes-Oxley would further demonstrate Carrier-1 Data Centers’ ability to mitigate security and availability risks.
“As a data center, we host systems relevant to our tenant’s financial reporting and therefore are responsible for controls over those systems, such as physical and environmental security,” said Ron Bowen, Director of Facilities for Carrier-1 Data Centers. “Therefore, the SSAE 16 is a valuable assurance standard for clients hosted in our facility.”
Carrier-1 owns and operates a 106,866 square foot data center building in Dallas, Texas. The colocation facility would feature plenty of space for expansion, with available solutions including multiple racks, Virtual-PODs, private cages and powered shell space.
