EvoSwitch, a provider of sustainable colocation services with data centers in Amsterdam and Washington, DC, has announced the appointment of Patrick van der Wilt as Commercial Director. Mr. Van der Wilt is a data center industry veteran who most recently served as Director Ecosystems Business Development EMEA at IO, a global provider of software-defined data center technology.
Patrick van der Wilt joins EvoSwitch after 13 years of work experience in major companies within the data center market, having undertaken commercial positions for IO, Dutch data center integrator Compertius, and colocation provider TelecityGroup, among others.

The news follows the expansion of U.S. hosting providers Liquid Web and Phoenix NAP into Europe with EvoSwitch. Both U.S. companies are new to the European market and have signed contracts for the provisioning of colocation space in EvoSwitch’s AMS1 data center in the Amsterdam region.
