Colocation Provider Online Tech Adds Fourth Data Center in Detroit, Michigan

Online Tech, a provider of colocation and enterprise cloud hosting services in the Midwest area, will add a fourth data center to its facilities. The new data center in metro Detroit will bring Online Tech’s data center footprint to 100,000 square feet.

Online Tech’s fourth data center, located in Wayne County, will add 34,000 square feet of data center space to its footprint. The company currently operates data centers in Ann Arbor and in Flint, Michigan.

Online Tech to invest $10 million in renovating and building this metro Detroit colocation facility

The company will renovate and build out a mission critical network switching facility formerly occupied by Sprint-Nextel. The 34,000 square foot Metro Detroit Data Center will feature 18,000 square feet of raised floor space. The carrier-neutral colocation facility will feature fiber connectivity to eight different telecommunications providers, and will support 1.2 MW of IT load.

The company invests $10 million in renovating and building this metro Detroit data center. The expansion will add another 15 jobs.
