QTS Realty Trust, Inc., one of the largest and fastest-growing providers of colocation and managed hosting services in the U.S., plans on driving growth for its Federal Systems Group, a division that supports customers across the public sector. That’s why QTS has hired Sales Veteran John Lind, who joins QTS from Equinix where he was responsible for federal markets.
John Lind is responsible for leading QTS’ efforts to grow its Federal Systems Group, which supports customers across the public sector, including numerous federal and state agencies and system integrators. Lind is based out of QTS’ Federal Systems Group office in Reston, VA.
Equinix, Level 3
Lind has more than 20 years of telecommunications operations and sales leadership experience, much of it devoted to servicing the federal sector. In
his previous position with Equinix, Lind managed the federal sales team, the supporting marketing solutions architect and the sales engineering functions. He also spent 13 years at Level 3 Communications, where he held various
leadership positions within the sales division, both commercial and federal, ultimately as vice president of sales, federal markets.

Lind earned a Master’s in Telecommunications Administration from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech.

QTS currently supports federal agencies across the executive branch, including the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. intelligence community. QTS’ 1.3 million square foot Richmond Data Center not only services federal customers, but also houses a continuous transformational environment (CTE) lab for critical testing and analysis of commercial and government off-the-shelf software and hardware.
