Colocation Services Provider vXchnge Opens New Data Center in Philadelphia

vXchnge, a provider of carrier-neutral colocation services across the U.S., has announced the grand opening of its new flagship data center at 1500 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia. The opening of this 70,000 square foot data center facility marks vXchnge’s fifteenth data center in the U.S.

vXchnge’s new data center is fault tolerant. Key features of the new facility would include:

  • Electrical System that includes: N+1 redundant UPS system
  • 7.5MW utility power served by two independent substations dedicated to the facility
  • Backup power generation provided by four diesel generators in an N+1 configuration supplying 7.5MW of power with automatic transfer
  • 24 hours of reserve diesel fuel on-site
