Colocation Firm eStruxture Builds Montreal Data Center with Vertiv

Todd ColemanDecember 2019 – eStruxture, a provider of data center solutions including colocation, private cloud, managed services, bandwidth and IT security, has partnered with continuity solutions vendor Vertiv to transform a building formerly housing the Montreal Gazette printing press into its MTL-2 data center facility.  Equinix Plans to Open Its 3rd Data Center in Warsaw, Poland

Robert BuszNovember 2019 – Global colocation and interconnection company Equinix has announced an expansion of its European data center presence with the development of a new data center in Warsaw, Poland. The opening of this colocation facility is planned for Q1 2020. The first phase of this new data center build, called Equinix WA3, will add 475 cabinets and more than 1,400m2 (15,200 sq. ft.) of colocation data center space. Read further.

Dutch Colocation Provider Dataplace Acquires Datacenter Nedzone

Gerben van VeenNovember 2019 – Dataplace, a colocation provider from the Netherlands, has acquired Datacenter Nedzone – a data center services provider in the south of the Netherlands. The acquisition brings Dataplace’s facilities across the Netherlands to six in total. Read further.

maincubes Expands European Presence With New Carbon-Neutral Data Center in Frankfurt

Oliver MentzelOctober 2019 – Datacenter developer/operator maincubes is expanding its European network of highly redundant data centers. In addition to its current data centers in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, the data center operator has planned a new data center in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area, maincubes FRA02. This new facility will focus on sustainability in particular. Approximately 8,500 square meters of colocation white space are to be built on five floors. Read further.

Billion European Data Center Joint Venture Completed

October 2019 – Equinix and Singapore-based GIC (Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund) announced in July it would form a $1.0 billion European data center joint venture – to develop and operate ‘xScale data centers’ in Europe. Now the formation of this joint venture has been completed. Read further.

Maxihost Deploys Bare Metal Cloud at CoreSite’s Los Angeles Data Center

Cologix Opens New 5 MW Colocation Data Center in Vancouver, US

Iron Mountain Opens Second Data Center in Phoenix

Mark KiddAugust 2019 – Global provider of storage solutions, colocation and information management services, Iron Mountain, has expanded its Phoenix data center campus with the grand opening of a second “enterprise-grade” data center facility, AZP-2. The three-story purpose-built facility will span more than 530,000 gross square feet and deliver 48 megawatts of total IT capacity at full build out. Read further.
