Cologix Adds Arelion Network PoP at Data Center in Columbus, OH

North American data center operator Cologix is expanding its partnership with global IP backbone provider, Arelion. Cologix has added a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Cologix’s COL3 Scalelogix hyperscale edge data center in Columbus, Ohio. With this expansion, Arelion now has eight network PoPs in seven markets, with metro campus access to 32 Cologix facilities.

“In the past year, Arelion has added two markets with Cologix, in Vancouver and now Columbus,” said Laura Ortman, President and CRO at Cologix.

With 70,000 kilometers of optical fiber and 1,700 MPLS endpoints being established, Arelion’s network connects Europe, North America, and Asia. Cologix’s Columbus data center site was chosen by Arelion because it provides an optimal location for hybrid cloud IT installations requiring 100 percent uptime and network performance.
