Colt Data Centre Services, a worldwide supplier of hyperscale and large enterprise data center solutions, has begun construction of its third data center in Frankfurt, Germany. Given Germany’s critical position as a center for digital commerce and the needed infrastructure to support smooth Internet traffic across Europe and beyond, Colt DCS has made the deliberate decision to keep making investments in the Frankfurt market to fulfill the demand of its customers.
The most recent hyperscale data center project in Frankfurt is ideally located in close proximity to the Frankfurt data center that is already in operation by Colt DCS. This closeness would provide seamless connection to the Rhine-Main area as well as quick access to Frankfurt’s main financial district.
The data center tenant’s IT infrastructure would benefit from great data storage capabilities and scalability thanks to this facility’s provision of 32.4 megawatts of information technology power capacity, which was designed specifically for a prominent cloud service provider.
ISO 27001 Certification
In addition to having direct connection to DE-CIX, which is one of the biggest Internet Exchange Points in the world, the facility also has connectivity to a number of dark fiber providers.
Colt DCS says is committed to sustainable scalability, which would be evident across its sixteen “state-of-the-art” data center developments. The company has procured one hundred percent renewable energy across its entire European estate, which provides the new hyperscale Tier-3 data center with power that would be both reliable and friendly to the environment. In addition, the facility will provide customer support in the local language around the clock, and it is scheduled to receive ISO 27001 certification after the phase delivery is complete.
“We understand the imperative to provide digital businesses in Germany with the data storage and scalability they need to serve their customers optimally. Our proven track record and extensive experience in constructing and operating data centers in Frankfurt has allowed us to optimize efficiency, reliability, and data security for our partners and customers,” said Richard Wellbrock, Vice President of Real Estate at Colt DCS. “Germany’s robust digital infrastructure, supported by a dependable power grid and sophisticated telecommunications network, reinforces our commitment to delivering unparalleled services in the market. Colt DCS remains steadfast in its mission to develop strategically located data center sites that cater to our customers’ needs, establishing us as the industry’s most trusted and customer-centric data center operator.”
