Network service provider Colt has expanded its network infrastructure into South Korea by establishing new network PoPs in four major data centers in the Seoul Metropolitan area. It would provide businesses in South Korea with low-cost, low-latency connection services.
As part of the expansion into South Korea, Colt would establish speeds of up to 40G Ethernet Service as well as cost-effective local coverage in the South Korean capital and other major cities.
The Colt IQ Network now has 29,000 on-net buildings and over 1000 data centers spanning Europe, Asia, and North America’s main business hubs.
Strong Network Presence in Europe and Asia
“The expansion of our network into South Korea highlights our continued investment in the Asia-Pacific region including Korea, and puts Colt in a unique position, given our strong presence in Europe and Asia, combined with the data center infrastructure in Seoul with new POPs in four major data centers,” said Mr. Masato Hoshino, Representative Director & President/Head of Asia. “This means that we’re well placed to help domestic companies in Korea who are looking to extend their reach globally, as well as multi-national companies entering the Korean market, with cost-competitive and reliable connectivity.”
As an innovative company, Colt is a pioneer in Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV). Recognized as a Visionary in the Gartner 2022 Magic Quadrant for Network Services, Colt also received Frost & Sullivan’s 2021 European Customer Value Leadership Award.
