Colt Obtains GDPR-Compliance Certification for Its Data Policies

Colt Technology Services obtains approval of its Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) from the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). It implies that Europe approves the way Colt handles the transfer of personal data outside the EU.

Colt claims to be one of just ten businesses in the world with EDPB-approved Controller and Processor BCRs, and the only voice and data communications provider in the world with GDPR-compliant BCRs. It is intended to offer Colt clients piece of mind that the firm is committed to security and data protection. Approved Binding Corporate Rules are a recognition of Colt applying the highest possible standards of data protection when transmitting personal data.

Approved BCRs – data protection policies used by EU companies to transfer personal data outside the EU within their group – can be found here on the EDPB’s website. These guidelines adhere to all general data protection standards, and they are legally binding for every company within the group.
