Masergy, a Plano, Texas-based pioneer in software-defined networking (SDN) and cloud solutions for global organizations, has signed an agreement to be acquired by Comcast Business. The purchase would help Comcast Business continue to develop its business serving big and mid-size businesses, particularly those with multi-site worldwide operations located in the United States.
Masergy has become a major provider of managed network, cloud, and security services to businesses across the world, servicing over 1,400 clients in almost 100 countries with over twenty years of expertise and innovation.
Masergy’s Managed SD-WAN, Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Call Center as a Service (CCaaS), and Managed Security solutions would allow safe application performance over the network and the cloud.
Comcast Business clients would be enabled to manage their worldwide operations and networks more effectively and securely thanks to the combination of Comcast Business’s advanced fiber network and Masergy’s unique services. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Masergy has been named a ‘Visionary’ in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Network Services for the past five years.

The acquisition of Masergy by Comcast Business is subject to regulatory approval and other usual conditions.
