Internet security provider Comodo, with U.S. headquarters in New Jersey and global resources in UK, China, India, Ukraine, and Romania, has announced enhancements to their range of backup and cloud storage solutions. The Comodo Cloud (CCloud), Comodo Backup, and CDrive applications would now provide users with user-friendly options to synchronize, upload, download and share files and folders.
Key features of the enhanced Comodo cloud hosting services include:
- CCloud 3.0.4.7 – CCloud has a brand new, redesigned website. Additionally, the free app now offers 10 GB of free storage space plus another 10 GB for referrals, upgrading from the previous offer of 5 GB of free storage space. Businesses who register for CCloud have the ability to configure groups of subaccounts as well as control the level of access to files and folders by groups or users. Enhancements to CCloud include a more secure file storage solution with a significant increase in upload/download and browsing speed compared to the previous version.
- Comodo Backup 4.3.4.7 – Comodo Backup offers 10 GB of free online storage space. The backup service is offered as a free complement to CCloud. The latest version, Comodo BAckup 4.3.4.7, now offers deduplication for CBU backups: if you backup files with the same content, the content is backed up only once. This improves backup speed while consuming fewer resources. Additionally, both the server and client side of Comodo Backup were rebuilt from scratch.
- CDrive 1.0.4.7 – CDrive allows users to copy files to an online storage space as if it were a local drive or partition. The latest version has significantly increased browsing/upload/download speed compared to the previous version (1.0.3.18) and the French translation has been updated. For users who have data stored in the old CCloud, they can still access these files at Old.ccloud.com. Comodo is currently working on migrating old data to the new CCloud.
