Connectivity Buying and Selling Platform Passes 1B Location Mark

The Connected World, a technological platform for network buyers and sellers developed by Connected2Fiber, presently manages 1.4 billion locations in 147 countries. The Connected World provides network data on each place, providing serviceability and competitive pricing alternatives when available, in addition to identifying complete addresses, latitude and longitude coordinates, and global location IDs.

“Connected2Fiber operates at the intersection of location and network intelligence,” said Ben Edmond, CEO & Founder of Connected2Fiber. “From the inception of Connected2Fiber, we’ve provided structure, purpose and precision to location information for network buyers and sellers. Passing the 1 billion location mark this quarter is testament to our ability to curate critical datapoints with location perspective at scale. With each new location that enters our database, the platform is that much more powerful in helping our clients make the best go-to-market decisions, so 1.4 billion managed locations and growing is a huge milestone.”

For network buyers, The Connected World helps identification of a perfect provider partner for any project while mitigating fallout issues that would plague connectivity orders globally, according to Connected2Fiber. On the sell side, the platform would ensure that sellers are maximizing opportunities when building capital-intensive network and streamlining the sales process to prevent unnecessary costs and maximize revenue potential.

Connected2Fiber released a slew of new features in the last year alone. Connected2Fiber revealed in September that The Connected World has achieved the curation of more than 2,100 broadband provider footprints throughout the world. The team also released a completely automated Bid Management capabilities in August, followed by an Assured Near Net offering a few months later.

“We believe The Connected World platform contains the most comprehensive and accurate mapping of actively managed locations in the industry,” added Mr. Edmond.

Earlier this year, Connected2Fiber received $12 million in Series B funding. The fresh funds will be used to improve the company’s go-to-market operations, including sales, marketing, and customer success, as well as expedite the development roadmap for its platform, The Connected World. The preceding stock rounds for Connected2Fiber totaled $15 million, bringing the total capital to $27 million in equity.
