U.S. managed hosting and cloud services provider Connectria has achieved the AWS Premier Consulting Partner status. Connectria joins a select group of top AWS Partner Network (APN) members that continuously exhibit experience in understanding client needs and assisting customers in architecting, building, migrating, modernizing, and managing workloads on Amazon Web Services.
Companies must pass a rigorous approval process through accreditations and certifications, demonstrate a long-term engagement in their partnership with AWS, and have substantial competence in executing client solutions on AWS to attain AWS Premier Consulting tier. AWS Premier Consulting Partners also have a large staff of AWS-trained and certified technical consultants with extensive project management and professional services experience.
“Becoming an AWS Premier Consulting Partner is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to our ongoing commitment to helping customers harness the value of AWS,” said Amar Patel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Connectria. “Our deep expertise with security and compliance, IBM Power Systems, and an ever-expanding eco-system of AWS products and services is at the heart of our success in helping customers innovate and transform their business in ways never before imagined.”
Journey to Becoming an AWS Premier Partner
In 1996, Connectria began as an infrastructure consulting business, then in 1998, it joined the hosting market. Its main purpose was to help enterprises running IBM I and AIX improve their security and compliance posture. By investing in growing areas and new technology, Connectria has continued to expand and evolve.
In 2013, Connectria joined AWS as a launch partner for their Managed Service Provider (MSP) program, and in less than a year, company was promoted to AWS Advanced Consulting Partner. Connectria purchased WSM International in 2019 to enhance professional services skills and supply cloud migration and digital transformation services to businesses of all sizes, after years of managed service growth.
Connectria earned AWS Migration Consultancy Competency accreditation in 2020, demonstrating its ability to handle large-scale cloud migration projects. Connectria now supports over 1,000 AWS clients across 35 countries. AWS Healthcare Consulting Competency Partner, AWS DevOps Consulting Competency Partner, and AWS Migration Consulting Competency Partner are all available through Connectria.
Connectria invested $2 million in two new data centers in 2021 to allow a low-latency hybrid cloud with AWS and IBM Power Systems. Customers of IBM Power Systems may use this solution to manage talent and staffing constraints, support data center exit plans with a simple lift and shift action, and update business essential workloads.
“Connectria is honored to be an AWS Premier Consulting partner after several years of incredible growth,” said Troy Mitchell, Director Strategic Alliances at Connectria. “Through the continued work with AWS and our multi-million-dollar investment in an IBM low-latency hybrid solution, Connectria is enabling companies to reimagine their business while offering near-term solutions to drive business continuity and value.”
