Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (NASDAQ: CONE) announces that Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District has recently deployed colocation services within CyrusOne’s Houston West data center. Cypress-Fairbanks would be the third largest school district in the state of Texas and the 25th largest school district in the nation with a student body of 114,000-plus students.
“From their reputation in the market to their convenient geographical location, we knew that CyrusOne would be an ideal fit for Cypress-Fairbanks to grow beyond current in-house capabilities,” said Frankie Jackson, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Cypress-Fairbanks. “Migration of our IT infrastructure to CyrusOne’s Houston West data center has been convenient based on its close physical proximity and a great value for us.”
“The facility’s rigorous security standards, high capacity and reliable availability, and disaster preparedness provide us with an added level of confidence,” added Mr. Jackson. “We feel our mission-critical systems and applications will be safe, secure, and accessible, while meeting the demands of our students, teachers, and administrators not only today but for years to come.”
CyrusOne’s Houston West data center campus, like all the company’s data center facilities, would feature top-tier physical security and is strategically positioned with access to significant and redundant utility power feeds, and one of the fastest telecommunications networks. The data center campus is one of the largest and first purpose-built campuses in Houston. As part of CyrusOne’s National IX (Internet Exchange) platform, this Houston data center also provides interconnection to other CyrusOne data centers in Texas and around the country.
“Our Houston West facility was designed to support enterprise-level services, offering superior security and functionality,” said Tesh Durvasula, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), CyrusOne. “We look forward to supporting Cypress-Fairbanks, one of the largest and top educators in the state of Texas, with exceptional colocation services, including the power, redundancy, and physical security to help meet their evolving needs.”
Globally, CyrusOne operates more than 30 carrier-neutral data center facilities across the United States, Europe, and Asia. The CyrusOne data center facilities are engineered to include an architecture with the highest available power redundancy (2N).
