CyrusOne (NASDAQ:CONE), a global data center REIT (real estate investment trust), is preparing to open Amsterdam I, the company’s first data center campus in the Netherlands offering total power of 72 megawatts upon full buildout. CyrusOne has now announced it will be joining the Dutch Data Center Association (DDA), the trade association for data centers in the Netherlands, as one of its global members.

CyrusOne Amsterdam I is a brand-new data center campus that would offer cloud service providers (CSPs), systems integrators (SIs), and multinational enterprises “customized, secured, and resilient” data center solutions within this key Internet hub. It is the largest purpose-built data center facility under construction now in Amsterdam. Ultimately, it will deliver approximately 320,000 square feet of colocation space offering total power of 72 megawatts in two separate buildings, one of three stories and one of two stories.

It woulod also demonstrate leadership by facilitating and encouraging members to implement operational improvements in the form of best practices. Next to that, the DDA promotes education and contributes to technical standards, intended to enable the data center industry in the Netherlands and abroad to further distinguish itself.
