Dewaweb, a web hosting provider founded in 2014 and based in Jakarta, Indonesia, has become an official reseller of CloudLinux’s Imunify360 product. The solution would “dramatically” enhance Linux web server security for Dewaweb’s customers.

Based in Palo Alto, California, CloudLinux is on a mission to make Linux secure, stable, and profitable. With more than 4,000 customers and partners, including Liquid Web and Dell, and more than 150,000 product installations, CloudLinux would combine in-depth technical knowledge of hosting, kernel development, and open source with unique client care expertise.

CloudLinux now has announced that web hosting company Dewaweb is offering cyber protection powered by their Imunify360’s artificial intelligence to Indonesian businesses of all sizes. Dewaweb is CloudLinux’s first partner in Indonesia to become the official reseller of Imunify360.

All-in-One Security System

CloudLinux Imunify360 is an automated all-in-one security system with machine learning technology to process all insights collected from servers all over the world – to keep the system protected from the latest attacks. Imunify360’s six-layer approach would include sophisticated self-learning firewall, malware scanning, reputation management, and other advanced features to provide total protection against threats.

“Cybersecurity is an important issue that cannot be ignored in this digital era, where all your important data are at risk of being hacked or your system being interrupted by hackers, especially in the Asia Pacific region of the world,” said Edy Budiman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dewaweb. In May 2017, a massive attack by ransomware called ‘WannaCry’ has infected more than 200,000 computers in 150 countries, including Indonesia. Based on the news released by CBS News, losses caused by this ransomware were estimated to reach US$ 4 billion.

The Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, on June 1st, 2017 released presidential regulation (Perpres) about the establishment of a national cyber agency. In line with this new regulation, Dewaweb has planned to improve its web hosting service quality in order to ensure cyber security in Indonesia by offering CloudLinux’s Imunify360 to their customers.

“We have seen an increased level of attacks targeted at many websites and applications hosted on our servers,” said Edy Budiman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dewaweb. “We need a smarter and a more comprehensive security system to protect our customers’ servers and Imunify360 by CloudLinux is a perfect choice. It’s easy to deploy, manage and monitor, saving us a great deal of time.”

Dewaweb has more than 20,000 customers across Indonesia and has a mission to help our customers succeed online.

“The unfortunate truth is that today, most businesses can be attacked by at any moment,” said Igor Seletskiy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CloudLinux. “Imunify360 was designed specifically to protect web servers from various attacks. It can greatly increase protection for Dewaweb’s clients and ensure they have an excellent hosting experience with Dewaweb. We are very excited about this partnership. To be able to help Dewaweb in protecting businesses and web servers in Indonesia, and to create a safer web experience is our goal. We look forward to a long-standing relationship between our companies.”
