DataBank, a supplier of enterprise-grade colocation, connectivity, and managed services with over 60 data centers and 20 interconnection hubs in more than 30 markets, has expanded its LAS1 data center in Las Vegas. The initiative will help the firm satisfy rising demand in the region while also allowing it to extend its reach and capabilities.
The expansion will add 10,000 square feet to the data center’s total capacity, increasing it to roughly 30,000 square feet. The construction project increases the site’s essential power capacity from 1.4 megawatts to 3 megawatts.
“This project is the result of increased demand from our current customer base for greater data center infrastructure in the area,” said Toni Qorri, Vice President of Construction at DataBank. “Built out, this expansion will maximize our current footprint in the local market. We’re proud to play an integral role in Las Vegas’ business and technology development.”
LAS1 is a carrier-neutral interconnection hub with more than five on-site carriers, conveniently located minutes from McCarran International Airport. Dual-factor biometric authentication, 24-hour monitoring, and mantrap are among the security elements at the Tier III site. LAS1 complies with SSAE18 SOC1 & SOC2, SOC3, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
DataBank’s managed security and compliance services, as well as its 100 percent uptime guarantee, would give businesses an added layer of support and reliability. Clients may combine this platform with contract portability, managed security, compliance enablement, and hands-on support.
