Datadog Unveils Real-Time Monitoring for Confluent Cloud

Cloud application monitoring and security platform, Datadog (NASDAQ: DDOG), has announced its integration with Confluent – a platform for moving data. Datadog can now monitor Confluent Cloud resources with the rest of their technological stack for users operating Confluent Cloud at any size, from a proof of concept to mission-critical applications.

Confluent’s fully managed, cloud-native data streaming solution enables businesses to deliver the real-time digital experiences that today’s organizations expect while eliminating infrastructure administration costs. To ensure that these digital experiences function as smoothly as possible, Datadog’s integration gives real-time visibility into the health and operations of their Confluent resources.

“A deep understanding of your entire IT stack is highly critical with distributed systems, but it is getting harder for organizations to achieve as their data sprawls across multicloud and hybrid environments,” said Dan Rosanova, Director, Product Management, Confluent. “Through our partnership with Datadog, we deliver a single source of truth for monitoring and managing systems across a business. With one click, our cloud-native, serverless integration enables end-to-end visibility to identify, fix and get ahead of issues.”

Out-of-the-Box Integration

Datadog’s integration with Confluent would offer:

  • Unified monitoring – Confluent Cloud resources can be monitored alongside the rest of a user’s technological stack in a single platform to obtain a comprehensive, end-to-end picture
  • Easy installation – With only a few clicks, users can set up the integration in minutes
  • Out-of-the-box dashboards – In a custom dashboard, critical cluster health and performance indicators can be visualized
  • Proactive alerting – Notifications can be set up depending on how well users are doing versus user-defined service level goals (SLOs)

“Datadog and Confluent partnered to deliver an out-of-the-box integration that provides visibility into the most important aspects of your Confluent resources, without any additional configuration,” said Michael Gerstenhaber, Senior Director, Product Management, Datadog. “The out-of-the-box telemetry provides a holistic view of their inputs, outputs and processing time, giving customers the monitoring capabilities they need to deliver superior digital experiences.”

As a cloud application monitoring and security platform, Datadog enables unified, real-time observability of organizations’ whole technological stack. Its SaaS platform unifies and automates infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring, and log management.

Datadog is used by businesses of all sizes and in a variety of industries to enable digital transformation and cloud migration, drive collaboration among development, operations, security, and business teams, reduce time to market for applications, secure applications and infrastructure, understand user behavior, and track key business metrics.

“Datadog and Confluent Cloud are two managed services that we rely on. In the past, we had to run our own middleware to connect them,” said Mustapha Benosmane, Product leader at ADEO, a global company with more than 50,000 employees and more than 500 million clients which is active within the home improvement market. “With the new integration, we’re able to monitor our Confluent Cloud infrastructure on Datadog without any extra work. The integration works with just a few clicks, and it is more stable than our previous solution.”
