DC BLOX, a supplier of interconnected multi-tenant data centers, has achieved NIST 800-171 compliance. NIST SP 800-171 is a collection of standards developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) that describes how non-federal companies can secure Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
This implies that DC BLOX is prepared to supply its colocation services to Federal government agencies and contractors who must comply with these regulations.
DC BLOX data centers may now service federal agencies in Atlanta, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Greenville, and Huntsville, in addition to its previous certifications.
Data Center Compliance

To maintain the security of their clients’ data and equipment, DC BLOX is currently creating procedures and systems that fulfill the most demanding security standards. DC BLOX is also SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and fulfills HIPAA / HITRUST requirements for protecting patient healthcare information, in addition to NIST 800-171.
DC BLOX’s Birmingham data center is also accredited by Uptime Institute for Tier III design and constructed facilities, and all of DC BLOX’s facilities in its markets follow the same design to satisfy Tier III criteria.
“DC BLOX is pleased to announce the latest in our growing number of compliances and certifications,” said Kurt Stoever, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at DC BLOX. “We take the security and protection of our customers’ infrastructure and data extremely seriously, so we will continue our work to support the highest industry standards available.”
