Data center colocation provider DC BLOX, a company with facilities located in Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Huntsville, AL; and Chattanooga, TN, has been selected by Encompass Health. Delivering integrated healthcare services, Encompass Health’s footprint includes 136 hospitals, 245 home health locations, and 83 hospice locations in 39 states and Puerto Rico.
Encompass Health (NYSE: EHC) offers both facility-based and home-based patient care through its network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies and hospice agencies.
The company selected DC BLOX’s Huntsville, Alabama, data center as its colocation site due to its ability to deliver a “secured, reliable data center environment with the ideal mix of geographic advantage, comprehensive connectivity and added resilience.”
DC BLOX’s Tier III-designed colocation services would offer Encompass Health improved reliability and uptime, enhanced business continuity and disaster recovery, and resilient connectivity. Private connections with protected paths were established between Encompass’ primary data center in Birmingham and the DC BLOX Huntsville data center. This would help ensure reliable and secure communications between the two facilities.
