A load balancer works by distributing web traffic to two or more servers to help reduce load.

When configuring DNS for a load balanced solution, you need to ensure that traffic is directed to the IP address of the load balancer.

The load balancer then decides which server to redirect the traffic to, depending upon a set of predetermined rules.
