Edge Hosting Achieves FedRAMP for Cloud Hosting

Edge Hosting, a Baltimore, Maryland based managed cloud hosting services provider, has received an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for providing cloud services to Federal agencies. The ATO is a declaration that Edge Hosting’s CloudPlus Secure Cloud Infrastructure has met the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Cloud Service Provider (CSP) requirements.

“Achieving FedRAMP compliance allows Federal agencies to trust Edge’s secure cloud hosting platform as the foundation for their cloud computing initiatives,“ said Michael Altman, Chief Operating Officer of Edge Hosting. “The ATO represents a critical milestone in Edge’s efforts to deliver secure cloud hosting solutions to the public sector marketplace.”

FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide program that standardizes the approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. The program is designed to comply with the Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002 (FISMA).
