Managed hosting provider Edge Web Hosting is doing well in the hosting market and plans to expand the company’s corporate headquarters in downtown Baltimore.
“Escalating demand for managed cloud hosting, CDN, and enterprise PCI and HIPAA compliant hosting continues to drive our growth,” said Michael Altman, Chief Operating Officer of Edge Web Hosting Inc. “The additional office space will accommodate the expected 30% – 40% increase in staff over the next 12 months.”
Backbone Upgrade
The Edge headquarters expansion will allow the Edge teams to more efficiently scale as the company continues to grow. During the past two years, Edge has nearly doubled the size of its employee base. The company currently has a number of openings for software developers, DBAs, implementation engineers, systems and cloud engineers.
Last month Edge completed some upgrades to the core internet connectivity at both of its Baltimore datacenters. Edge’s managed cloud and managed dedicated hosting customers can now take advantage of increased throughput, reduced latency and improved reliability through Edge’s network of high speed carriers connected via multiple geographically diverse 10 Gbps up-links.
