A cooperation with Megaport, a global Network as a Service (NaaS) platform provider, has allowed data center colocation provider Element Critical to significantly expand its infrastructure capabilities. The collaboration would enable the integration of Megaport’s cloud interconnection technology throughout the U.S. wide data center network of Element Critical. Customers may now use the improved EC Cloud Connect capabilities in Element Critical’s data centers in Chicago, Silicon Valley, and Houston in addition to its Austin One Data Center, where they were first offered.

Through this partnership, clients of Element Critical have access to Software Defined Networking (SDN) and cloud interconnection services provided by Megaport, allowing them to create direct connections between their co-located IT assets and various cloud providers.

Through a “single, simple-to-manage” network port, users may also use these services to interface with branch offices and connect to a wider choice of managed services providers. By delivering these services, Element Critical aims at giving its clients a solid cloud foundation while also enhancing control and cost management capabilities. The Megaport platform would make it possible to optimize network agility and dynamically scale IT resources without the need to make changes to the physical infrastructure.

Element Critical’s customers may access Megaport’s extensive worldwide ecosystem, which has over 360 service providers and includes market giants like AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud, via the EC Cloud Connect service. Their clients may supply connections with same-day activation and easily add more connections as needed by using the existing network of Element Critical. With numerous customization possibilities, real-time traffic monitoring and network connection management are made simple by Megaport’s user-friendly web-based portal and application programming interface (API).
