International domain name registrar and web hosting provider EuroDNS, headquartered in Luxembourg, introduces free, fully featured Alpha SSL certificates to its customers. To issue the free Alpha SSL certificates, EuroDNS is partnering with GlobalSign – a WebTrust accredited Certification Authority (CA). GlobalSign has been issuing digital certificates for over 15 years.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a protocol for website security, providing a protected connection between a web server and a web browser. A website displaying an SSL certificate will protect website transactions, logins, webmail, and communication.
“Many companies talk about securing the Internet, EuroDNS is taking constructive steps and offering every customer a free, Alpha SSL certificate with every domain name registered or transferred to us,” said EuroDNS Chairman, Xavier Buck. “We believe in a secure Internet and we’re striving to ensure that the threats that exist are recognized and controlled. It’s vital to us that our customers are protected and fully informed, so they can secure their own data and that of their customers.”
“Our SSL certificates provide an easy and cost-effective way for our customers to validate their websites and in turn, protect their customers’ details and online payments,” added Xavier Buck. “Giving a free SSL certificate is the latest initiative in our mission to provide the most reliable and secure domain registrar service available; following on from the recent launch of two-step verification and domain privacy.”
