FiberLight, a company designing, building and deploying high bandwidth networks with operations in over 30 metropolitan areas in the U.S., has expanded to H5 Data Centers’ San Antonio facility located at 100 Taylor Street in downtown San Antonio. FiberLight’s expansion to 100 Taylor St. is aimed at better enabling the company’s growing Texas Express Routes.
The expansion supports a low-latency network connecting Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston (DASH), plus Corpus Christi, Laredo and McAllen. It includes brand new, diverse fiber routes to the US-Mexico border. FiberLight’s Point-of-Presence (PoP) would also offer H5 Data Centers’ customers easy access to FiberLight’s expansive Texas fiber network.
“Our San Antonio edge data center serves a combination of international carriers, content distribution networks, ISPs and cloud services providers,” said Josh Simms, founder and CEO of H5 Data Centers. “FiberLight’s expansion to 100 Taylor St. will continue to build upon the growing interconnection ecosystem.”
H5 Data Centers is focused at designing and engineering flexible and scalable data center solutions to address the core infrastructure and edge requirements of its customers. H5 Data Centers operates data centers in Albuquerque, Ashburn, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Phoenix, Quincy, San Antonio, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, and Seattle.
“We’re thrilled to be working alongside H5 Data Centers to bring enhanced connectivity options to the Texas region, and we look forward to expanding this collaboration to ensure a growing number of customers can access the robust data center and high-capacity fiber capabilities they rely on,” said Simon Cooper, Director of Business Development for Data Center Partnerships, FiberLight. “As part of our Texas Express Routes, H5 Data Centers is integral to FiberLight enabling network operators, enterprises, wireless operators, managed service providers and international carriers across Texas to quickly and cost-effectively deploy connectivity to commercial, data center, cloud on-ramp and IP peering sites. All sites on these routes, including 100 Taylor St., are available on a 25-day installation interval or shorter to ensure fast turn-ups.”
