Former Cisco Executive Michael Fuhrman joins Cloud Hosting Provider Peak 10 as CTO

Peak 10, a U.S. IT infrastructure and cloud hosting services provider, has expanded its executive leadership with the appointment of Michael Fuhrman to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Mr. Fuhrman will be responsible for the company’s product and service strategy, research and development (R&D), and internal IT initiatives.

Michael Fuhrman joins Peak 10 from Cisco, where he held a series of “high-level” and technical leadership positions. During his tenure, he was responsible for the delivery and scaling of all cloud-based services for the suite of Cisco security platforms.

Mr. Fuhrman led teams in the transition from a hardware-based to a software-based delivery model and led the security services and cloud operations organization for Cisco, including 24 data centers across the globe. Mr. Fuhrman also brings experience in the integration of products and people, with involvement in several security acquisitions over the last decade.

According to David Jones, as the $40 billion cloud market continues to grow, Mr. Fuhrman’s industry experience and forward-thinking approach will help Peak 10 unlock new solutions for its customer base, while positioning the company for further growth and market opportunity.

Mr. Fuhrman earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel and his MS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio. He currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board for The School of Engineering at The Citadel.
