French Cloud Hosting Provider Outscale to Roll-Out Its Cloud in China, Opens PoP in Hong Kong

Outscale, a French Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud hosting provider founded in 2010 and backed by Dassault Systèmes, is pursuing its international development strategy by entering the Chinese market, with the opening of a first Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Hong Kong.

Outscale has deployed the same AWS-compatible cloud infrastructure used for the U.S. and Europe in Hong Kong, opening up new growth prospects for its clients. The company has rolled out an ISO27001-certified cloud in China Telecom’s benchmark Tier3 data center in Fo-Tan.

“The role of a cloud hosting provider like Outscale is to facilitate the growth of its clients worldwide,” said Laurent Seror, Outscale’s CEO. “By offering an industrial cloud infrastructure in Hong Kong that is equivalent to our American and European installations, we are catering directly to the champions of international industry, helping them to establish a long-term presence on the ultra-competitive and demanding Asian markets.”
