G-Core Labs, an international provider of cloud and edge solutions, has added another data center Point-of-Presence (POP) to its global network infrastructure. After launching new network PoPs across Europe as well as Israel last year, the company has now deployed a network PoP in India’s largest city, Mumbai.
The new data center location provides G-Core Labs customers with hosting services based on dedicated servers or virtual servers. According to G-Core Labs, it complements the global architecture of their content delivery network (CDN) with one of the best response rates of 30ms within the local market.
“G-Core Labs continues to develop its international infrastructure, opening an important point of presence for our customers in India, the second most populous country in the world and one of the fastest growing online markets,” said Dmitry Samoshkin, vice president of products at G-Core Labs. “There are more than 560 million active Internet users today, note – 43% of the population, and their number should exceed 600 million by 2021. The Indian audience is very susceptible to electronic commerce, actively plays games, watches movies and uses various Internet services, so the leaders here will be the businesses whose online resources run uninterruptable and as quickly as possible. And we can help with it.”
Located in a Tier III certified data center, the new PoP would guarantee access speed to a dedicated server or virtual server of 200 Mbit/s.
Dedicated Servers, Virtual Servers
All G-Core Labs servers are protected from DDoS attacks using G-Core Labs’ unique technology for intelligent filtering of network traffic. The dedicated servers of the company provide constant free access to their IPMI (intelligent platform management interface), which would allow to quickly solve any issue with hosting in a remote format, also in case of an emergency situation.
G-Core Labs’ virtual servers are based on KVM virtualization technology, which would guarantee “high and uninterrupted performance” and is equipped with fast SSD disks.
The global architecture of G-Core Labs’ content delivery network, located on 5 continents, was created by experts on high-load systems. Today, it includes more than 60 PoPs, 5000+ peering partners, 300+ cash servers, while the total network capacity comes down to 10+ Tbit/sec.
