Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) has selected QTS’ Atlanta-Metro colocation data center for hosting its IT infrastructure ‘as-a-service’ in this HIPAA-compliant data center environment. GHA is a nonprofit trade association made up of 170 member hospitals and health systems in Georgia.
GHA’s mission is to advance the health of individuals and communities by serving as the leading advocate for all Georgia hospitals and health care systems. It promotes the health and welfare of the public through the development of better hospital care for all of Georgia’s citizens.
“Many providers are able to do one thing well, but QTS excelled in a variety of areas including HIPAA/HITECH compliance and IT security best practices,” said Brandon Hargrett, Vice President and CIO of Georgia Hospital Association. “We have completed our migration and QTS is now delivering superior levels of IT performance and we are leveraging QTS’ innovative customer portal that has automated many administrative and access processes.”
QTS recently announced its Healthcare Community Cloud (HCC), a purpose-built IT Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS hosting) solution for healthcare organizations. QTS HCC builds on QTS‘ cloud and compliance expertise, allowing customers to leverage the benefits of the cloud such as improving agility, optimizing operations and resources to reduce capital expenditures, and protecting electronic patient health information (ePHI).
