Channel access for the open-source enterprise data center solutions from SoftIron has been expanded through a new partner program.

A provider of performance-optimized and purpose-built data center solutions, SoftIron has announced its new global channel partner program. The company believes this new pogrom will help build a community of channel partners to accelerate growth and business value for the company by expanding reseller offerings and capabilities.

“SoftIron’s partners will be able to capitalize on the growing opportunity created by the rise in demand for supported, enterprise-class open source technologies like Ceph,” said Phil Crocker, VP Business Development and Channel at SoftIron.

Channel partners would now be able to differentiate themselves through this program by gaining access to the open source-based data center services and solutions. IT resellers can use the open-source technology in hardware packages to provide more value.  SoftIron is calling the new partner program SoftIron + Co.

“The results of SoftIron’s unique ‘designed, not assembled’ approach to manufacturing enterprise data center solutions, is a highly integrated, truly differentiated offering that tackles the needs of the perpetually-scaling data center,” said Phil Crocker, VP Business Development and Channel at SoftIron. “As organizations grapple with the challenges of scaling their IT operations, they become even more interested in open source solutions that eliminate vendor lock-in and give them more control. SoftIron’s partners will be able to capitalize on the growing opportunity created by the rise in demand for supported, enterprise-class open source technologies like Ceph. By partnering with SoftIron in 2021, partners will be putting themselves in the best position possible to inherit success.”

HyperDrive From SoftIron

One of the things SoftIron is most known for is HyperDrive, their software-defined storage portfolio. They stand out by providing task-specific appliances that are hardware-optimized around open-source cores, such as Ceph. They don’t use the traditional method of off-the-shelf hardware and optimized software in an attempt to get rid of bottlenecks. Instead, SoftIron has designed its hardware around the needs of the source code to provide better control, support, and performance.

This approach is aimed at providing customers with peace of mind through Secure Provenance, which assures transparency and integrity when it comes to the component-level manufacturing capabilities.

SoftIron Taking Full Ownership

Open-source architects for data-centric computing are becoming more and more popular. SoftIron is owning its ability to deliver task-specific Ceph storage appliances built to deliver scalability to enterprise customers.

HyperDrive from SoftIron also allows government agencies to use low-energy consumption options with a Secure Provenance guarantee. In fact, the United States Air Force has worked with SoftIron to use the power of HyperDrive to analyze important aircraft mission data. The new partner program may lead to future work between government agencies and SoftIron.

Working with Many Partners Already

SoftIron is already working with several partners including Aryx, MEGWARE Computers, and UpCenter Technologies. All of these companies saw how unique the partner program is and decided it made sense for their needs.

A global provider of task-specific appliances for data center solutions, SoftIron is known for its purpose-built hardware. As a manufacturer, the company is offering auditable provenance with hardware assembled in California. Hyperdrive, HyperSwitch, and HyperCast all come from SoftIron and offer different solutions for enterprises as “best-in-class” products.
