11:11 Systems, a managed infrastructure solutions provider, has completed the acquisition of iland, a worldwide cloud hosting services provider delivering secured and compliant Infrastructure as-a-Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery (DRaaS), and Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Houston and with regional offices in London and Sydney, iland provides cloud hosting services across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia from its cloud regions.
When combined with managed infrastructure solutions provider 11:11 Systems, iland may provide a comprehensive service for controlling and securing an organization’s infrastructure backbone. The combined organization will use iland’s Secure Cloud Console, which natively combines deep-layered security, predictive analytics, and compliance to provide the highest visibility and simplicity of control for all of the cloud services being delivered.
“CIOs and IT leaders are being pushed to address increasing numbers of security threats, application vulnerabilities and network weaknesses that can leave organizations exposed to data breaches. At the same time, they are tasked with laying the right foundation within their infrastructure to embrace hybrid cloud, navigate sophisticated application requirements, artificial intelligence and more while data and devices continue to multiply exponentially,” said Brett Diamond, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at 11:11 Systems.
“11:11 Systems is focused on significantly simplifying our customers’ approach to cloud, security and connectivity to drive greater security, innovation, and responsiveness and adding iland and Green Cloud as core ingredient platforms substantively advances this mission.”
Green Cloud Defense, a channel-only cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider, was also recently bought by 11:11 Systems. A hypergrowth path has been formed by combining iland’s consistent 25% YOY growth with 11:11 Systems’ increasing nationwide network of MSPs, VARs, and IT consultants.
Backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners
“Joining 11:11 Systems, which now includes Green Cloud, will open up the doors of innovation even wider with new opportunities to expand services across the iland platform, which will further enhance our customers’ ability to manage and monitor their hybrid environments,” said Justin Giardina, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iland: We will have the unprecedented opportunity to offer our customers choice in their infrastructure services, while also untangling them from the overwhelming intricacies that too often accompany infrastructure management.”
“We are thrilled to join 11:11 Systems and further solidify our position as a market-leading provider of infrastructure services,” said Dante Orsini, Senior Vice President, Business Development, iland. “This acquisition opens up new opportunities for our global channel partners and bolsters our expertise, bench of satisfied customers, and solution offerings with our core technology partners including VMware, Veeam, Zerto, and HPE as well as other market leaders. Merging with 11:11 Systems will make iland a one-stop-shop for cloud, security, and connectivity utilizing the market’s most trusted solutions.”
Justin Giardina, CTO of iland, has been named Chief Technology Innovation Officer; Dante Orsini has been elevated to Chief Strategy Officer; and Jennifer Brenner will continue as Chief Marketing Officer. Scott Sparvero, the current CEO and co-founder, and Brian Ussher, the current President and co-founder, will assist with the transition until it is completed.
11:11 Systems is financed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners, a middle-market private equity firm that invests in expanding infrastructure platforms, as part of an ambitious M&A strategy to extend, aggregate, and further automate infrastructure solutions. Tiger Infrastructure Partners also handled 11:11’s acquisition of Green Cloud Defense in November.
