Rackspace, a global provider of integrated managed services across applications, data, security and infrastructure, including on public and private clouds and managed hosting, has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Financial Services Competency status.
This designation would recognize Rackspace as a managed cloud hosting provider for leveraging its deep expertise to implement effective solutions that help financial services organizations manage critical issues such as risk management, core systems implementations, data management, navigating compliance requirements, and establishing governance models.
According to a recent report from the Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF), 72 percent of U.S. finance executives were either using cloud-based solutions in 2017 or they planned to do so in the future. While many banking, insurance, investment firms and other financial services organizations are moving to the cloud at an increasing rate, most lack the resources and expertise needed to navigate this digital transformation on their own.
Achieving the AWS Financial Services Competency would be an important step in Rackspace’s broader effort to support financial services organizations with their digital transformation.
AWS Partner Network
Achieving the AWS Financial Services Competency would differentiate Rackspace as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has demonstrated relevant technical proficiency and proven customer success, delivering solutions on AWS Cloud. To receive the designation, APN Partners must demonstrate deep AWS Cloud expertise and undergo an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions.

In addition to this Financial Services Competency, Rackspace has achieved AWS Competency status in six other areas, including for Migration, Storage, Microsoft Workloads, Oracle, DevOps, and Marketing and Commerce. Rackspace is also a Premier Consulting Partner in the APN, allowing them to assist AWS Cloud users along with all stages of their cloud transformation journey.
