GoDaddy Launches GoDaddy Online Store, Enables UK Small Businesses to Create e-Commerce Presence

GoDaddy, one of the world’s largest web hosting providers, has announced the launch of its GoDaddy Online Store, a product designed to make it easy for small businesses to create an e-commerce presence and sell products online. GoDaddy’s new solution would allow small business professionals with any level of online experience to successfully build a customized web store.

Many small businesses find the process of building an e-commerce website difficult. Though on average, according to BIA Kelsey, 30 percent of local small business revenues come from online purchases.

godaddy-web-hosting“The challenge many small businesses face in successfully creating e-commerce opportunities for themselves is the sheer complexity involved in the set-up and management of an online store” said Abid Chaudhry, Senior Analyst with media research firm BIA/Kelsey. “The goal of GoDaddy’s Online Store is to take complexity out of the equation, enabling SMBs to quickly start selling their goods and services online.”

Paypal, Credit Cards

With GoDaddy Online Store, merchants need only choose their theme, add products and assign descriptions and price points – no coding needed. The new e-commerce solution would also provide a frictionless end-user shopping and checkout experience – even on mobile devices – with built-in payment processing tools to accept payments from multiple sources, including PayPal and all major credit cards. Also included are flexible shipping options for shoppers, and inventory tracking to help business owners keep track of products.

“Hundreds of thousands of small business owners want to start their e-commerce business every year, but they struggle to find an easy to use, affordable and effective solution”, said Stefano Maruzzi, VP of EMEA at GoDaddy. “With the launch of GoDaddy Online Store, we strive to make it incredibly easy for anyone to build a professional e-commerce website, and to enable them to grow and run their business more effectively.”
