At its annual Data Cloud Summit event, Google Cloud has announced three new database and data analytics technologies to provide enterprises with a unified data platform. Dataplex, Analytics Hub, and Datastream would help enterprises break free from data silos, safely predicte business outcomes, and make educated, real-time decisions.
With the preview availability of Dataplex, Analytics Hub and Datastream, organizations would be enabled to use data more intelligently while deliver new products and services more quickly.
Datastream is a serverless Change Data Capture (CDC) and replication tool. By using Datastream, clients can replicate data streams in real-time from Oracle and MySQL databases to Google Cloud services like BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage, and Cloud Spanner. Real-time analytics, database replication, and event-driven architectures are all possible with this system.

Analytics Hub and Dataplex
Businesses can use Analytics Hub to generate, compile, and manage analytics exchanges in real time. This tool allows users to securely exchange data and insights both inside and outside their business, including dynamic dashboards and machine learning models. It allows businesses to blend private data with publicly available Google data.
Dataplex would combine the best of Google Cloud and open-source analytics to provide a “seamless” analytics experience. Without moving or duplicating data, automated data quality allows it to be instantly secured, integrated, analyzed, and managed at scale. Organizations can spend less time worrying about infrastructure complexity and more time leveraging data to generate business results thanks to built-in data intelligence that utilizes Google’s AI and ML capabilities.
“Data must be thought of as an ability that integrates all aspects of working with it. Every industry is accelerating their shift of being digital-first as they recognize data is the essential ingredient for value creation and the key to advancing their digital transformation,” said Gerrit Kazmaier, Vice President and General Manager, Databases, Data Analytics and Looker, Google Cloud. “At Google Cloud, we’re committed to helping customers build the most powerful data cloud solution to unlock value and actionable, real-time insights, needed to future-proof their business.”
