While air cooling has long been the most popular cooling method in data centers, there comes a point where air just does not have the thermal transfer qualities to provide adequate cooling, stated GRC. As rack power grows, this can degrade the performance and dependability of specialized servers while also becoming less energy efficient. The increased thermal transfer of liquid immersion cooling would allow for highly efficient and cost-effective cooling of high-density data center racks.
GRC and its global partners will work on the development of immersion cooling technologies for data centers throughout the world as part of the Global Alliance Partnership. Complete solutions that comprise both ITE hardware and GRC immersion cooling systems will be sold by the partners. GRC claims that its solutions will offer partners the opportunity to provide their clients with a 20% decrease in server power consumption and a 90% reduction in cooling energy expenditures in many situations. It would also allow them to lower cooling system operating and maintenance costs.
AI, HPC, 5G, Blockchain
“By leveraging GRC’s immersion cooling systems, our partners’ customers will be able to seamlessly and quickly deploy high-performance servers virtually anywhere with minimal infrastructure requirements,” said Peter Poulin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at GRC. “End-users can quickly implement changes to their data centers, providing real-time ROI via immediate energy savings, space consolidation, and increased hardware reliability. Additionally, by eliminating costly data center infrastructure such as CRACs and CRAHs, customers can reallocate these savings to new servers, bringing increased agility to their organization.”
GRC’s patented data center immersion cooling technology and solutions are used in twenty countries and are appropriate for next-generation applications such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, high-performance computing (HPC), 5G, and other edge computing and core applications. The company’s immersion cooling solutions are sustainable and space-saving, allowing them to be deployed quickly in nearly any place.
