Head of Cloud Computing For European Commission to Present Keynote At ResellerClub Presents HostingCon Europe

HostingCon, the premier cloud and hosting industry trade show recently acquired by Penton, has announced its keynote speaker for “ResellerClub presents HostingCon Europe” in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 22-23. Pearse O’Donohue, the head of cloud computing for the European Commission will address the industry regarding European legislation that impacts web hosting and cloud hosting providers.

Mr. O’Donohue was Deputy Head of Cabinet of Vice President Neelie Kroes, outgoing European Commissioner for the Digital Agenda until October 2014. He advised the Vice President on policy matters regarding electronic communications, networks, broadband and other related topics. As the newly appointed Head of Unit for Software & Services, Cloud Computing, in the European Commission (DG CONNECT), he is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of policy on cloud computing and on software and services.

The rest of the HostingCon event, held at the Amsterdam Passenger Terminal September 22-23, 2015, will focus on addressing issues and trends in the cloud and hosting industry.
