Just a few weeks after Host Europe Group itself was acquired by European private equity firm Cinven, the company has announced it will acquire Telefónica Germany Online Services GmbH, a subsidiary of Telefónica Deutschland. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Telefónica Germany Online Services (TOS) provides full managed hosting solutions, customer specific application services as well as portal projects. Host Europe Group manages more than five million registered domains and specializes in cloud and virtualization solutions, as well as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
SME client base
The acquisition will further strengthen Host Europe’s position as a Germany-based provider of enterprise managed hosting solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises, and enable the company to deliver highly technical solutions to its client base.
Telefónica Deutschland is disposing of TOS as it continues to focus on its core business mobile and fixed net and the development of its mobile data business.
