VIDEO INTERVIEW – As a media partner of the Managed Hosting Summit that was recently being held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, HostingJournalist met with OnApp’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Tim Meredith. In this video interview he explains what he also shared on stage during his keynote at this event: The Managed Service Provider (MSP), hosting and telecom communities need choice between different options of deploying cloud, true choice he says.
In this interview Tim Meredith elaborates on the role of hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP and Azure for MSPs, while he is warning MSPs for a vendor lock-in that may come with certain hyperscale choices.
Mr. Meredith also explains what OnApp’s cloud management platform can do for MSPs and how they can combine the OnApp software with other technologies. This may include the use of a hypervisor like KVM for example, as well as virtualized environments such as VMware with their vCloud Director and vCenter solutions, or AWS, to name a few. OnApp in that case offers MSPs a single pane of glass.
