Global managed hybrid multi-cloud hosting provider, Hostway, has hired industry veteran Chandler Vaughn as its Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Product Officer. Mr. Vaughn will be in charge of developing and executing Hostway’s technology and product strategy.
Chandler Vaughn was most recently Chief Product and Technology Officer for managed services and SaaS company FATHOM. Prior to joining FATHOM, he was the CTO and Senior Vice President of Codero Hosting, where he launched an on-demand hybrid cloud that allows fully automated, scalable provisioning and inter-networking of cloud and dedicated hosting software.
“I welcome Chandler to the Hostway family and look forward to him guiding our product development roadmap and overseeing all technical aspects of the company,” said Emil Sayegh, CEO and president of Hostway. “Chandler and I have a long history of working together to build cloud solutions going back well over a decade. With Chandler’s strong leadership, vision and commitment to innovation, our product portfolio will evolve to become even more compelling for our customers.”
Earlier in his career, Mr. Vaughn held various senior management positions at Rackspace where he helped spearhead the eventual formation of OpenStack, the free and open-sourced cloud-computing platform now leveraged by a wide array of SaaS companies to provide their services.
Vaughn served as the founder and head of the Cloud Computing Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin. He is currently named as inventor on several pending patents for Distributed Block Storage and Distributed Computing.
“I am very excited to join Hostway, especially at this time when it is so well positioned to transform the market with its next phase of growth,” said Chandler Vaughn. “Hostway’s 20-year history as a pioneer in this industry not only makes it an iconic brand, but also a key enabler for the transition from on-premises computing to the hybrid cloud.”
