Hostway, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) hosting provider to over 600,000 customers worldwide, has upgraded its public cloud server platform to Microsoft’s System Center and Windows Server 2012 R2, providing Hostway customers with a more scalable, agile and flexible infrastructure for its FlexCloud Server offerings.
Hostway first launched its FlexCloud Server offering in November 2011 on Microsoft’s Hyper-V and it quickly grew to one of the largest publicly available Hyper-V cloud server platforms.
Hostway’s cloud server platform users would now experience increased levels of scalability, performance and quicker deployment times. The upgrade would also enable delivery of superior data analysis capabilities through SQL 2012. By using Hostway’s Windows Server 2012 R2 public cloud platform, IT professionals could now more rapidly build, implement and manage both Linux and Windows applications.

“It’s a more modern approach to infrastructure management,” said Mike Robski, Hostway Vice President of Research and Development. “A cloud hosting services model powered by System Center and Windows Server 2012 R2 helps organizations accelerate innovation and improve application performance today while future-proofing their enterprise with the latest technologies from Microsoft and Hostway.”
As Hostway positions itself as a IaaS cloud hosting provider, VARs, Integrators, and SaaS organizations could easily wrap the new cloud-based services from the hosting provider into their core services to provide an Always-On experience for their end-users. Hostway services its clients from more than 250,000 square feet of state-of-the-art data center space, spanning four continents and 12 countries.
