Before your transfer your domain you should check the following:
1. EPP or AUTH Code – you can get this from your current registrar
2. Unlock Domain – check the status on the whois at https://www.pickaweb.co.uk/cgi-bin/whois.cgi – if it says OK or Active you can transfer. If it says Transfer Prohibited you need to ask your current registrar to unlock it
3. Admin Email contact – again, check the whois above to make sure you are listed as the admin email contact
Once the transfer is initiated the admin contact is sent an email with a link asking you to confirm the transfer. Follow the instructions to approve the transfer & it will go through automatically.
