How to Use BoldGrid Connect Search

Bit Ninja

When adding images to your site, whether you are replacing images on your pages or changing the background image, you may want to search for new images for your site.

This is where the BoldGrid Connect Serch comes in handy.

The BoldGrid connect search uses various different image providers to help you find the perfect image for your site.

These images range from “FREE” to premium, which means they would cost a number of coins to purchase and use in your site.

Whether you use the “Add Media” button on the page editor screen, or an image button in the “Customizer” you will be led to the image selection tabs.

The tab on the right is the one for the BoldGrid Connect Search.

Here you simply enter the type of image you are looking for.

The search will run and give you a selection of images from the different image providers.

At the top of the tab, you will see a “License Filter’ checkbox. If this checkbox is selected, the search results will include images that are “FREE” as long as attribution is included on the page.

The images will have their coin price range in the lower right corner. The ones that just require attribution will simply have a coin icon.

Other images will have a range, for example 1-100. The price depends on the image size.

Click on the image you want and some information will appear in the right hand panel.

Here you can select the dimensions of the image you want from the “Sizes” dropdown.

Remember, this affects the price of the image.

Once you have selected the the image size, click on the “Download” link.

The image is now downloaded to your Media Library and available for use.

If you were inserting or replacing an image, then it should also appear in its proper place on your site.
